Production/Project Management
During our initial brainstorming session with the full team, I took meeting notes and facilitated the discussion. Afterward, I compiled all the ideas into a pseudo-GDD to help make sure everyone was on the same page as to what the game would be.
To meet the game jam's one-week deadline, effective communication was essential. Since we had 5 artists, we needed tasks to be divvied up effectively. To do this, I managed an asset list where everyone could sign up for tasks to avoid doing the same work twice.
The game's special parallax style meant each biome had to be drawn in layers. I ensured every artist knew what each layer should include to match the distances we selected.
Art and Writing
For art contribution, I drew the assets for the Plains/Landing Zone environment, as well as the Field Report scene at the end of the game. I also wrote the blurbs for each of the potential photo subjects, working with the artist of each biome determine which things could be photographed.
